In the past, I played with multifunctionality in the objects I created. During the creation of this piece, my focus was shifted more towards jewelry. This had me questioning how I can include this same theme of multifunctionality in relation to the jewelry I create. This necklace/bracelet duo can function in multiple ways: a necklace, a bracelet, a necklace and bracelet, or a double tiered necklace. The bracelet can be worn on its own or you can remove the center bar and use the two hooks to connect them to the matching necklace. The necklace can be worn alone or with the addition of the bracelet, changing it to a two tiered necklace.
The shells were cast from molds of shells I gathered in Spain and Greece during my backpacking trip in 2019.
